A birdie blog takeover!

A birdie blog takeover!

Hi everyone! This is going to be a different kind of blog post. Dahlia is doing a blog takeover today. She'll be sharing a few things about herself. Take it away Dahlia!

Hello everybirdie!

Hi friends and blog fowl-owers! How are you doing? I’m Dahlia. Pam asked me to write something for a blog takeover, so here I am! I’m so excited to be here and have a tweet with you today! Woo hoo! This is my first time writing a blog post. I hope you like it!

Too long didn’t read the blog post?

You might know about what happened at storytime a few months ago but if you don’t want to read it right now, here’s the TLDR (I think this means “too long didn’t read the blog post”). And if you did read it, thank you, friend.

Here’s my version of what happened

Back in February, my BFF (Best Feathered Friend) Lillian invited me to lead storytime at her shop, The Beak and Peck Bookstore and Coffeehouse (the best shop in Birdland). With Lillian's okay, my sweetie bird, Franklin (I call him Frankly so I can say "Frankly my dear") did storytime with me. We planned everything out from the story to the craft to the songs and dances we were going to do. We had read the story using different voices for each of the different characters. The birdlets were howling in laughter which made me belly laugh. We led them in a Valentine's day craft. The next thing that is on our list of things to do is to lead the birdlets in singing and dancing.

Things got really weird

Then I heard the scratching and it really caught me off guard. I mean, you guys, this was a wedding proposal right in the middle of storytime. Who would even do this? I'm really easy going but really... I heard the little birdlets clapping and squealing. I wondered what was going on and, let’s be honest, who was so rude as to do this during storytime. "Ms. Dahlia, Ms. Dahlia look...look!" some of the birdlets shouted. I turned to see what was going on.  It was Franklin. My Frankly. And looking at me. It was him doing the traditional proposal dance and song. I thought I was going to pass out.

So much for TLDR

I’m not good at summarizing. I like to talk. And it’s been nice telling you my story.

Fun facts about me:

BFF (Best Feathered Friend):   Lillian

Occupation: Real Estate Agent (and if you’re looking for a house, let me know!)

Neighborhood nickname: The Mayor of Birdland, sometimes The Mayor. I think this is because I talk a lot and am friends with everybirdy

What I wanted to be when I was a birdlet: an actor. People say I have a flair for the dramatic. I don't know what they're talking about #wingtoforheadfeiningdrama

On my mind: Frankly, my dear Franklin #swoon

Something unique about me: I'm always at home wherever I go

What? Ohhhh right. Of course, you want to know how I responded

Yes! I said "YES!"

*TLDR

Franklin proposed to me during storytime and I said “YES!”

I have a webpage!

You can find me on my personal webpage by clicking here and my pictures (aka merch) here.

A question for you

Would you rather be able to be invisible or be able to fly? What do you think my answer is? Let me know in the comment box below!

I hope you liked my birdie blog takeover!

Thank you, my new blog friends and fowl-owers! I'm so glad stopped by and tweeted with me! I hope you have a great day!
