Or are you spending the day at The Beak and Peck Bookstore reading and drinking lattes? - randomcreativemoments

Or are you spending the day at The Beak and Peck Bookstore reading and drinking lattes?

Hey there Birdy!

So…last week when I texted some friends to let them know that I was opting out of our weekly art Zoom because I was busy, I got a text back from one of them. The response was:

Image of a phone with a text that says "or are you spending the day at The Beak and Peck bookstore reading and drinking lattes?"

Or are you spending the day at The Beak and Peck Bookstore reading and drinking lattes?

Am I spending the day at The Beak and Peck? If only? Right?!

I was busy with other things that day (running out in the rain to do something when I'm pretty sure I actually melt under those circumstances…I’m not a witch…I’m Californian).

But, oh man, doesn’t a day at The Beak and Peck sound good? I have to admit that I laughed because she has me pegged because that’s what I want to do.

As a matter of fact

I’m kind of in the mood to go hang out at a coffee house/bookstore myself. As I’m writing this, I’m thinking about going to Hawthorn Coffee to get their salted maple latte since I’m going to be in that area for a haircut today. The salted maple latte has a subtle sweetness with a touch of smokiness. It's not salty at all. Perfect for a day or even an hour with a book.

While it’s not my day to hang out at Hawthorne Coffee or lounge with a book, it is definitely my day to get a salted maple latte there. Yum!

Commercial break

I’m feeling like a busy birdy. I’m super motivated to get things done but I’m feeling a bit scattered. When I feel like this, I know it’s time for me to gather all of my information in one spot, look at my schedule and prioritize my tasks. One way that’s really helpful is to use a planner of some sort. The Busy Birdy's Daily Planner Collection (printable PDF) is a great option for those days so I can get everything down in one place and keep myself organized (or get myself organized, if you will)

By the way…

My newsletter and blog readers have had some great suggestions for songs to add to a future “Birdify” playlist (if you haven’t seen last week’s Birdify playlist yet, you can head to this blog post).  I’m Like a Bird by Nelly Furtado anyone? If you like these or have any more suggestions, please let me know in the comment box below.

Thanks a bunch for visiting!

I’m so glad you’re here and hope you have a great day!
